So here's what I've discovered while trying to figure out how to make this blog work:
1. It's harder to find the time to take pictures than I thought it would be.
2. I spend a lot more of my time in pj's than any person probably ever should!
The thing is, I pretty much only ever wear one outfit out of the house. It's a work uniform. And it's not cute. I promise, you don't want to see me post pictures of my work uniform everyday for my "this is what I wore today." Actually, I did think of that before I started this blog. But I just thought "well hubby and I go out to lunch during the day and stuff. I'll just post pictures of what I wear then." Well, turns out we don't do that as much as I thought we do. Turns out when I'm not working (in my work uniform), I'm usually hanging out at home, in my pj's. Yeah, remember those panthers I showed you before? Turns out those panthers and I are bff's. (Are you hearing this husband? You need to take me out to lunch more often. It's in the name of fashion. A selfless act really.)
Today hubby did take me out to lunch. This is what I wore. We went to Waffle House. Half price day. Glamorous, right?
Warning: My bra straps are showing in every single one of these pictures! Oh well.
Dress: clothing consignment store (Name Brand exchange) $5
Belt: Thrifted $1
Tights: Walmart $5
Boots: Walmart, clearance $7
Happily ever after outfit total: $18! (Can you believe my dress only cost as much as my tights! What!? Crazy!)
Side note: the bracelet isn't included in my total, but if you're wondering it's by Silpada Designs
I actually wore this outfit two days in a row. I wore it yesterday to a cookie exchange party but in my haste to bake cookies, get dressed, and get out the door on time I didn't get a chance to take pictures! And then once I was there I did think of it briefly and I'm sure my momma would have taken pictures for me, but we were just having so much fun I didn't want to step aside to take picture of just me in this outfit. It's all so tricky!
Oh well. It did give me an excuse to wear this outfit again in order to take pictures :) And go to Waffle House. Hehe.
When I bought this dress I was really unsure of it. It's sort of a strange pattern and it's a little shorter than I normally wear. But I love the top. And it's gathered at the waste with an elastic band which is both cute and SUPER comfortable. After wearing it twice I am actually totally in love with it. It might be a new favorite for me. I just need to think of other ways to style it! Today (and yesterday) I went with a brown belt, boots, and tights. (Yes, that means I'm wearing black with brown. And I don't even care! I break all the fashion rules. If I like it, I wear it.)
This was actually the first outfit I tried on while getting ready yesterday too! I'm usually that girl that's running a little late and frantically throwing cloths around the room, trying and re-trying multiple outfits before settling on one. Not this time! Amazing :)
Well I guess I'll just have to work on getting a better routine for picture taking! Despite my teasing about ugly work cloths and panthers, there have actually been several occasions for me to take outfit pictures in the last couple of weeks (Thanksgiving, a party at our house, a bonfire at a friend's house) but each time I didn't get pictures or a post up! Just stick with me friends. I promise I'll get better at this! :)
Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone has a fabulous week!

That last picture is so effing adorable. I love it. They all are, actually, but the last one - that's my favorite. :) I find the same thing happening to me... I spend all this time getting ready, getting the kids ready to go out the door, and then when I get home I realize I never got a second to take a picture! So yeah. Props to all the fashion bloggers who are doing this every day! It's tricky!
